Default Georgia homegrown tomatoes!

if anyone has never had real Georgia homegrown tomatoes, they are now in season. they are so good, that porterhouse steask just cant compare with them.

i realize that for the people that live in the northeasten us , they are not familiar with them and that transplanted yankees just wouldnt understand them.

but to a real Georgian, they are like a piece of heaven!

I anxiously await my garden tomatoes. Must wait a bit longer as I'm somewhat farther north than Georga, but not so far north that I don't already have some good looking vines and plenty of little greenies on them!

hi Rob,
then you know how good fresh tomatoes are.

theres nothing better than a tomato sandwich with some mayo and salt and black pepper.

heres a trick to make it taste like a blt, put some baked meat skins from a bag, like the ones in the potato chip varieties on top of the tomatoes, mmmmmm mmmmmmmm good!

I use bacon to make it taste like a BLT.

Okay... enough is enough! All this talk about 'matter sammies got my craving all stirred up and I had to run to the store and get the best I could find, not great but will have to do until the gardens come in around here and I can pull a midnight raid on my neighbor's plot.

Got me some Smithfield thick sliced peppered bacon thawing from the freezer and a fresh loaf of Colonial white bread. Any thoughts about what's for dinner at my house tonight?

A REAL Southern treat
