Default Just a Gripe...

I go to the local High School once a week (when I'm here) as part of the Adult Extra Mural courses that have been run for years. It means I can use their expensive tools (thicknessers, jointers, linishers etc.)
The economic downturn means the new govt. has withdrawn all funding for these courses leaving me and a lot of others who have no tools at all high and dry. Anyone else experiencing this?

Pete
I've cut it twice and it's still too short! But only at one end.

Sort of Pete. Governor of Ohio is going to cut funding to our Library and its branches. May have to close my local branch. I may not have access to all "MY" woodworking books they store for me. Bummer!

In woodworking there is no scrap, only firewood.

Yeah, Pete. We have been loosing our shop classes for a while now. There are hardly any schools left that offer any kind of industrial classes. Metal, Wood, Drafting... they are all gone. Some smaller schools are even loosing their campus security monitors.
