Default Billy Mays death

i saw today where Billy Mays died.

i am appaled at any flim flam artist trying to sell junk or get rich plans on tv!
Billy Mays was definitely a flim flam artist.

nevertheless, a death is a very sad occasion for his family and friends.

just an observation.

Hi levon,

I wouldn't really call him a "flim flam" man. He was simply a promoter of products and not his products either. His passing is sad indeed. If I read correctly, he had a heart attack.

hi Ken,

hi passing is sad and i definitely feel for his family. i heard his heart caused his death. he was a promoter and having a daughter that bought a product he raved about that didnt work, i still consider him a flim flam man.

they should outlaw the middle of the night flim flam infomercials! its my daughters fault for buying his junk.

i cant say i will miss his infomercials.

Yes definitely sad

Again Levon, he's only a promoter the quality of the product is not in his control.

hi Mark,

i gues im from "the old school" that believes if you lend your name to something or someone you should be sure it is reputable, and not do it just for big money.

if you say its the best thing since sliced bread, it better be!

but i will get off my soap box, lol.
i didnt mean to offend anyone.

the real tragic loss of the last week to me was farrah faucet.

I agree on both accounts, while yes Billy's passing must be sad for his family; but I was always taught (and live by) when you sign you name to something be willing to back it 100%, and only do qualitity work, and represent you and your product truthfully.

Whilst I didn't know the man, I agree with Levon, when a public figure lends his/her name to a product, that product should have been investigated first.

Caveat emptor is a good rule to follow. There are a lot of people without scruples in the world. Especially in sales, law, and politics!
So there!

ive never bought any of his products so i cant comment on their quality but i did read where he only promoted products that he would actually use. if he felt the product was crap he wouldnt try to sell it. he was supposed to be a pretty stand up guy. sad to hear of his passing
