Default Kidney Stones

Don't know how many have gone thru having a kidney stone, but my wife is in the middle of the process at this time. WOW! I hope I never have one, it looks as bad as having a baby. Spent most of last night in the ER and without much sleep right now. Today they have us running here and there for scans and Dr. referrals, what a mess!

Sorry... just venting a little

Hi Bob

They put in the Hospital for a week about 5 years ago,,they are nasty and I think I had two kids LOL not to sure I was out of it for about a week.. the bill was like having two kids.. they tried many things but it just took time to get them to pass,,,the day I went in I could not walk...it's funny now but not then..

I really feel for your wife, Bob. I have had them 3 times over the years and as BJ mentioned, it's the closest a man will come to feeling the pain of child birth. If you know what a goat-head grass bur is, just try to imagine passing one of those baby's and you might come close.

I get Stones all the time, they are no fun, the first time I got one I didn't know what it was and I thought I was going to die.

Most painfull thing I have ever experianced.I know what she is going through, hopefully the stone is small enough to pass on it's own (5mm 6mm max), I've had to go in 4 times to have then broken up because the stone was too large to pass. That's no fun either.

Tell her to drink more water to help flush them out.

My friend just vent away! We just want your wife better and your sleep better I'm sure. Regarding the Chiesle's just when ever; I guess you have seen the post for them, you can explain to me later.

Bob,

the first one I had, some of the ladies at work who have had both (babies and stones) said the stones were more painful

Luckily, that one passed fairly quickly after the Dr gave me a tablet that would put an elephant to sleep....

My daughter had some that lasted for a week and her docter only gave her aspirin

James.

With any luck Bob the stone is small enough so they can use ultra sound to break it apart without having to operate.

Good luck
