Default Watch this video and then show it to your kids

Viral Video Chart - PSA Texting and Driving, U.K., August 2009, (HQ) Master Original Video

Maybe us adults need to watch it a few times as well.

Make sure and watch it full screen.

Thanks for the link. Pretty graphic of what can happen.

This video applies to using the phone behind the wheel of an automobile as well as texting. I would love to see cell phones banded while driving, people do not have enough sense to voluntary not use them.

i with you bob, here in Queensland it is against the law to use the mobiles while driving, that doesn’t include hands free setups, but I see people using there phone every day when I driving, and I cover around 1800km a week in my job. My boss will ring drivers sometimes and test them to see if they are driving while on the phone. As well as that my thumbs are too big to text. I believe there should be jammers put in to cars that stop them from getting a signal. It is one of my pet hates its right up the top of the list

While at a stop light a few days ago 3 of the 12 cars that passed me at the lights had drivers with phones to their ears or in front of them.

I'm a firm believer in 2 hands on the wheel and 2 eyes and ears forward. I'm an accident magnet, 1 car and 4 in 7 trucks have been hit by others. The car and the 1st truck (C20) were parked and totaled. The F150 was broad sided by a Toyota running a red light and totaled. D Power Ram rear ended by another truck doing 50 mph plus, my Dodge was shoved nearly 100 feet down the road, while I was in it and totaled. The 2nd C20, I had my youngest in the truck and we were on our way to my oldest's HS graduation when a brand new Mercedes crossed in front of me, my plow mount opened up the front passenger door like a can opener, the merc then slammed into a car trying to exit the road the merc was trying to enter. The man driving the merc had to be air lifted to Boston, he'd been drinking and drinking while driving, no seat belt, there was close to a thousand dollars, a cell phone and empty Miller bottles floating around inside the car.

How would it be if it was a truck driver texting. I what a mess that would make. Phone texting was brought up in graphic video footage showing the aftermath as a safety issue at Boyne Smelters here in sunny Queensland only a month ago after one of our Superintendents lost a friend due to a driver texting while driving.

Gee Whiz, Ronald! I don't think I want to be driving anywhere near Cape Cod. Sounds like a bunch of real (driving) idiots. This video should be required viewing for everyone whether they drive a vehicle or not!!!

Seen the ad through an internet messenger and have had it used as a saftey forum at my work place at Boyne Smelters. Some of the viewers were a little bit squirmish while watching it but you still get the morons who will puff their chests out and say "That will never happen to me." I'm betting that is what that girl thought too but it did. Anyone who drives and texts/phones while driving is a danger to themselves and anyone on the road with them at the same time
