Harry,

Maree wants a ride in the Indian-Pacific, so it looks like a holiday in Perth next year.

What would you recommend as the best time to go?

May do some side trips to Margaret River also.

Why don't you come over to eastern PA James. I could send Nancy and your wife shopping and could get together over here and do some wood working. Notice Harry didn't answer you yet on this question. He does have a good excuse though he is fight a cold now. Poor bugger just doesn't seem to get a break these last couple of months.

Thanks for the offer Glenmore.

It was either Perth or the Caribbean cruise.

Maree won the toss.......LOL (just kidding)

I'm not sure on this James because our holidays are either overseas like Singapore or over your side to Sydney and Melbourne. Our hottest months are January and February cooling down in March but still very warm. Do a Google search on "weather patterns in Western Australia"
If you do come over, make sure that you give me the details so that we can meet up.

As much as we would like to offer it, that room is reserved strictly for you my friend, knowing how impulsive you are, you could hop on a plane heading this way at any time without warning.

Thanks for the offer, Glenmore, but accommodation is not required...

As Harry was a 'local', so to speak, I thought he might advise when was the best season to visit Perth.

I was thinking mid-spring as more of the wild flowers should be out. Great view from the train.

Don't worry, Harry... Accommodation is not required.

Wouldn't it be a great week-end if Glenmore hit Perth.... after that carrier that was in Perth, they would be prepared..

But you guys would turn it into a lathe fest....

Sydney to Perth 3,949 km – about 1 day 23 hours or there abouts. I'd love to drive a road train once, since I'm a truckie I could show up with a ( slab ) or two. sit around with my cobber's.

Thanks for the offer, Scott.

You added "or two" so you have been studying the drinking habits of Aussies.

Your timing may be out slightly as the roads in Australia are not up to the standards as I15

The road trains cruise at around 60/65mph once on the open roads.

The train leaves Sydney Saturday 2:55 pm and arrives in Perth 9:10 am on Tuesday.
