Default Our first rain since November

The first shot was taken at 6PM during a lull in the storm that brought our first rain since November. The next shots show the damage to a friend's car, caught at the height of the storm on his way home from work, and the following is an email to him from another friend....

"Both our cars look similar except without the broken window.
Hailstones like golfballs just raining down horizontally.
Daycare room had some water damage and water was overflowing the gutter into the family room.
The street outside is still a lake 3 hours later.
Iíve never seen anything like what it was like here this afternoon."

So far no damage here.

I sure don't miss those W.A.summers !! I think my skin aged 20 years in the 10 that I lived there.
2 weeks after I bought my new car a couple of years back, I drove through a serious hail storm in the Austrian alps. I figured my car would be ruined but was surprised that there was not a single dent. I think the fact I kept driving lessened the impact of the hail because I saw parked cars that were damaged.

We sure do get some crazy weather over here, barometers are quite useless because the weather changes so fast. I found out this evening that my daughter in law's car sustained similar damage to friend Trevor's.
Here's a link to an amateur video, there is an advert at the beginning.

Were those stain glass windows in the second pic? If so, sad that they got it. Plain glass is easily gotten, but stained glass is art.

Harry,

Sorry for being late in getting to you.

When I heard about the storms, I said to Maree that I should check on Harry.

I trust you made it through without too much damage.

Did the storm hit your area?

Sorry to hear about you daughters car.

James
