While looking for some other things on usenet recently, I happened to have a few springer shows pop up in the search (honest, was looking for other things). It was some of the uncensored pay per views or maybe they were just uncensored versions of the tv show, I don't know.
I was amazed that the way people would come on stage and drop their clothes for no reason. And at the things the crowd would chant and the responses that the "guests" would scream back. It also amazed me that some of these people would even want to fight for the person who had cheated on them with multiple people.
It wasn't quite equal opportunity stripping as the women would often go all the way but the guys kept their underwear on except to possibly moon some one.
I did watch a couple of episodes of the first season of the Springer Show. It was actually a decent talk show and I thought had better topics than the other shows on at the time. Then I watched it later on and found it had started the downhill slide towards what it is now. I later read that the producers/Jerry were told what the show originally was didn't bring enough ratings to continue and to spice the thing up.
I also remember the shows I saw at the start of the downward slide normally prevented any acts of violence whereas on the specials I watched parts of seemed to encourage it.
The thing better about the specials compared to the tv show was not hearing the beep beep beep beep. I was not impressed at the language used instead of the beeps. There didn't seem to be any imagination or originality in the cursing, just the same old normally forbidden on American TV words.
The amusement I got out of it was calling my Wife into here by the computer and asking her to explain why a woman would think the way some of them were
Now long gone from the hard drive. Wouldn't waste the space on them if I had 100TB of drive space. Didn't even bother to open up a couple of them as I thought seeing parts of 3 was torture enough for one day.
