Default What a find

A friend of mine who has brilliant vision, spied this in a skip bin on his way to work this morning. The receipt with it also showed a Jarrah board, and judging by the red dust in the dust pipe and the missing cutter it looks like it was only used the once. I've never seen this particular packaged deal before and the gold colour probably means it was a special edition. (my friend was disappointed at the missing cutter!)

HI Harry

Nice GMC router kit, I have one of the router bits sets ,it looks like you will need to pull the bearings off and put them on the other cutter when needed same as the kit I have.., you can't have to many routers and bits and I see it is your type of setup with that funny guide set up..

Hi Harry

Don't you just love new toys, I bought a set of 1/2" shank bits some time back, they were so cheap and were calling me by name,,,, I have not used them yet, don't figure.

Great acquisition and another reason to make some saw dust.

Hey, as good a friend as Trevor is, he's keeping it all for himself. I forgot to mention that it also came with a 1/4" collet. Over the years Trevor has brought me lots of first class wood, mainly Jarrah boards. He has brilliant vision, one day a couple of years ago I spent a day with him driving along bush roads and at one point he pointed and said look at that kangaroo, I searched the scene and couldn't see it, not until we were almost level with it. I don't know if his sight is related to the fact that he produces so much iron that he has to donate blood two or three times a year.
As for goodies in Fremantle, It's such an expensive place to live now, I doubt that the dump bins would hold anything of value.
It's nice to see you back John.

Have a great day

Has the CNC set-up started to pay for itself yet?

Harry, I sit here laughing, if you are talking about financially "NO", but I definitely have felt it payed for itself education wise.

We are building a second one,,, 4X8 steel frame, then it will financially pay for itself. Our machine is a hobby machine.

We have done several projects and yes we could make some money but really want to wait until we are properly set up to do it commercially.

We have a vision.
