Talking Happy Canada Day.....

On my daily commute to work, I listen to 'ABC Classic FM'.

At 7:30 they give the weather for the major cities in Australia and one "guest" weather for some town nominated by a listener.

Todays "guest" town was London , Ontario...... .

The person nominating London, said half their family was in Australia and half in Canada.

Today's forecast for London, On is 'partly cloudy with max temp 20C (68F)..

I thought it was Summer up there.....

The announcer also advised that today, 1st July is Canada Day.

Enjoy the holiday, Deb and all our mates north of the border.

James

Hi James:

On behalf of my fellow Canadians, I bid thee thanks!

Today is a break in the weather. This time of year, southern Ontario usually sees around 26C (79F.) In fact, the forecast for the next few days is 28C (82F) to 32C (90F.)

Thanks James. Don't listen to Canuck Gal, it's going to be a beautiful day... sunny and about 25c (75f)... my kind of day anyway.

LOL Brian. It did turn out to be a beautiful day. We took down a 25 foot pine tree that was dripping sap all over my new car! I know you will all say I should have saved the wood, but that sappy sticky stuff went to the recycler! The tree was literally "bleeding" the stuff from every inch. I had to have a bath in mineral spirits when we were done.

Hi James a coincidence I was born in London Ontario,,, that was awhile back. Longer than I care to look.

The queen was in Halifax this past week with celebrations for Canada Day and our centennial for the Canadian Navy. The navy is 100 years young a going strong.

Happy Canada Day.

Hi James:

I've driven from where Cassandra and Deb live to where I live and as I go north, you can feel the temperature drop. I'm in the Laurentian mountains on the north side of the St. Lawrence River half way between the Atlantic Ocean and Toronto. Last night it was 4 Celcius but today it's going up to 24 and dry. It is absolutely beautiful weather to work in. You can work up a sweat and still not be uncomfortable.

Thanks for the best wishes. I listen to ABC Classic FM on occasion too.
