Default I'm retiring the forum and wood working

Just wanted to say so long I'm no longer going to be part of the forums. I am actually going to give up wood working all together. Can't do none of it anymore just can't cope with the health issues. I really enjoyed the companionship of all the members here like the ribbing that I get from BJ I'm actually going to miss that I'll keep in touch with the members on my skype list only. The people that helped through the pen drive and other things will be not forgotten. Thanks for all the knowledge and friendships that I had over the years here. So all I have to say is so long keep the dust flowing. PS Mark don't worry I'm leaving because I want to not that anyone has done something so don't worry. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm going.

Glenmore,

Sorry to hear you've come to this decision. You've been an active member since the very beginning... and will be greatly missed.

Take care of your health issues, for that surely comes first. I hope that you'll be feeling better soon enough to pick up your hobby again. Don't sell that lathe, you've got a definite talent for pen making! The Mrs. loves the pen you made for her, and I think she might be eyeing mine as well.

Take care, buddy!

Doug

Hey Bud.... you can't just up and quit altogether like this. Wait until your meds level out and perhaps you will change your mind. You can just lay dormant like me and wait for a change of mood swing, but you don't have to give it all up like this. Relax and see what comes about later down the road. You are always welcome here and you know it. Somehow I can't picture you not ever again spending time in that nice shop of yours. My shop has remained pretty much dormant for 6 straight months, but just this weekend I went out and visited it for several hours and that's a good start for me.

Re-think it Glenmore, you are too talented to just give it all up. Health and meds can really bring you to new lows, but don't let them win... fight back!

Ditto Bob, Give it some more time let things settle in your life, reconsider if you will.

Default Good luck

Glenmore, I haven't been here all that long, and haven't been overly active, but I've enjoyed your posts. Good luck with the health issues. I'm sure the admins will leave the light on for you, in the chance that you might be able to return.

Glenmore I am sadden by the loss of you on this list. When life starts to puting shadows over things wood working has always brought sun shine for me.

Hello Glenmore, I noticed your post not long after you posted it, but since we aren't really acquainted I didn't know what to say. However I must agree with several of the other comments, take a break, rest up and see what happens in a day, week, month or more. No need to quit, just kick back for a while, in the mean time I wish you God's healing with your medical issues.

Hi Glenmore,

I agree with the others, do not resign from the forum.

Just be a lurker and post from time to time even if you have not started any current projects.

We are not all active woodworkers, but we like to drop in for a chat.

Glenmore I too hope you will reconsider. I enjoyed our Skye chat. I do hope your health issues improve.
