Default I almost lost my self-control

I really must stop associating with BJ, I was just looking through on line adds on a local website and a guy has 2 x 3hp new GMC routers at $100.00 each and a GMC 2hp used "once" at $90.00. I was about to email him to ask his lowest price for all three but managed to regain control of myself in time!

GMC, should I consider them Harry. In general I thought they weren't such a well respected brand.

Sorry for hijacking your thread Harry, but was wondering your opinion on taking the risk with an unbranded router like this one.

Harry, just let go, stop fighting it. Release your inner router buyer.

GMC have been out of business for some time so parts could be a problem Gav., however, their tools always represented top value for money even though their motors in all products were a bit on the loud side. I first saw a multi-step anvil on a GMC router close to ten years ago and went straight home and made one for my Makita 3612C. In summary Gavin, I'm beginning to believe Bj when he says that you can never have too many routers.

The final sentence in my answer to your previous question applies, you can never have too many routers! The only downside that I can see to that particular router is it's small square opening, but at that price, hey, how can you go past it for a spare!
