Default The interesting things I do in the name of friendship

Recently, a fellow member who shall remain anonymous, required a couple of screws for his router, the ones that lock on to ski rods. Well, my same model router was also bought s/h with them missing and I have, for years, used 5mm socket screws and so sent him a couple.Next thing I heard together with a thank you was that he was thinking of sticking washers on them with epoxy to make them like wing screws. The thought of washers glued to socket screws didn't appeal to me so this is what I did and they are in the post as I type.

Nice job Harry now take your center punch out and Stake the wing nut to the screw so he can't break the wing nut free from the screw

The saying used to be that a friend will help you move, while a good friend will help you move a body. We can now add, " . . . or will put wings on your screws or nuts."

Bob, I tightened them so tight that if my friend screws them sufficient to separate, then he will have deep flats on his rods! If my friend is reading this, please take note!

Don't worry, Harry. Khufu had the same question when I kept telling pyramid jokes.

Damn, you've gone and blown your anonymity Al! By the way, you know that I love to "fiddle" and doing such things is what prevents boredom (are you listening Dave?)

Yes Harry, I are listening, but I have to keep my recliner oiled. I can't seem to find time between oiling and watching the telly.
