Default Reflections on two years on the forum

It will be two years on December 1 that I made my first post on this forum, this is number 8,000. Please do not for one moment think I am gloating or bragging, or any such nonsense, making such a statement. I say it because like several old timers and some dedicated new comers it represents a commitment to other folks to help them when they need help or welcome them when they first come on board, guys like BJ, Dr Z, Canuckgirl, Big Jim, Bob N, TRN Deisel, Tommy, Lavon, Harrysin, Glenmore and all the rest that have taken time to participate in this forum.

I have made on average 11.01posts per day, (while those posts are nothing compared to the rest others make, they do take time, I do read every post that I respond to and comment when I think what I have to say is worth reading on the receiving end) and I have thought that perhaps I need too cut back some. Then I will find someone, two days past, that has joined the forum and for whatever reason has not been responded to and will welcome him or her bumping them to the front in hopes their question might be answered, or whatever, but will feel welcomed.

Ok so I am rambling, but that is what some of us Sr. Citizens do best, to the point--I thank all the folks that have made this forum what it is and challenge all of us to not forget folks like Dan with all his family is going through right now, or drop a PM to Kartracer 63 and others no longer on the forum just to say hi, hows it going.

I think what makes this forum special to me is the fact that it is personal and that is why I shall continue greeting the folks here. Thus endeth the ramblings of Jerry, call sign Xplorx4.

Just kidding. It's great that you take the time and effort to break the ice and make people feel at home. Keep up the good work

Thanks a lot Jerry for your contributions over the years, everyone plays their role in the community to make it a great and friendly place, and that always starts at a warm welcome from the good people in the Introductions forums. Thanks again Jerry!

Jerry I joined around the same time as you and I have enjoyed "building" our shops together and learning all the great woodworking skills this forum has to offer along with you. Many of your projects have inspired me. And I am glad when I check a new comers post and see that you have given them your usual warm welcome to the forum. I too look forward to your next 8000 posts! Thanks for being a valued forum member and contributor.

Jerry,

Thanks for your time and EFFORT in making this forum a friendly and welcoming place. It takes a lot of work to go through each post, and I know that there are probably several new members who's questions would have gone unnoticed unless you had posted in their threads.

Thanks for all you've done to make this forum such a fun and welcoming place to be

Doug
