Smile What's under your Christmas tree?

While we all realize that there is so much more to Christmas than gift giving, there still remains that child like question in the back of our mind, "What am I getting for Christmas".

I thought it might be fun to start a thread asking what your hopes are to find as a present under your tree? Perhaps after Christmas day, we can start another thread inquiring as to what each of us got for Christmas. Might be fun comparing hopes to reality

Okay.... what are you hoping for?

I am hoping to find a few new lathe tools and turning related DVD's as my interest has been rekindled lately in that area.

Alas Bob, I don't expect anything, I did want a 24" monitor so I bought one, also a small laptop for Marlene which is addition to her desktop which now has my redundant 22" monitor up from a 19" one. Of course I may still get an unexpected surprise but my sweetheart won't.

My inner child has a credit card, and bought himself a router:

Hey Ralph, is that one of those "wireless routers" they keep talking about on here? I'd bet Mark could use that one.

Alas, I want/need so many tools but my wife refuses to buy me any.
All I can hope for is cash from my inlaws so I can go and buy a bench drill to finally drill perfectly square holes (round holes, but square in relation to the surface of the wood).
I have a design of skiis in mind that will require it.

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out where the battery goes.

I'm gettin nothin for Xmas.
I spilled grape juice on Mommies rug, I made my brother eat a bug, I took a sip from papas jug, and somebody snitched on me.

We bought ourselves a new Delta Midi Lathe, and some lathe tools from Lee Valley. I got a great book on Greene and Greene furniture and some digital calipers. The spouse wanted the lathe, I just went along for the ride. Honestly there was nothing I really wanted or needed. I obviously need to peruse the Lee Valley catalog more closely!
