Default Good Bye To This Forum, It Has Been Nice

I have been politely informed that my posts are not being placed in the correct place and I understand that, who needs somebody screwing things up. I am saying good bye due to the fact that I do not know how to post in the tool forum or what I supposed to do. I am just not very savvy about computers and at my age, I probably not going to every really understand them.

Jerry,

It is sad to see you go for the reason stated. We are supposed to have a moderation team that can move your post to the proper forum if need be. Please do not let a misunderstanding run you away.

Iing was under the impression that the complaint was from some person that is in charge of policing the forum and that is was their job to keep things going as per the rules.

deciding where to start threads has always been a grey area for me as well. i'm sure i am guilty of the same thing.

i would be extremely disappointed if they told you that you were not welcome here because of starting threads in the wrong forums.

as bob said, that is one of the tasks the moderators are supposed to do (make sure threads are in the "right" forum).

as i told my kids in school, part of the process is learning what the teacher expects, and doing it that way. i know a forum is not the same as a classroom, but hopefully you get my drift.

as they move any of your threads to the "correct" forum, you will learn where they think they should be, and then you will know where they want them to go.

I'm with the rest of the group, don't go!! Message boards as this one, are suppose to be not only informative, but also fun. If you have to be worried, every time that you post, if you're posting in the right place, then that isn't fun anymore. Sure, give it a shot, but don't sit there fretting over it. I was a long time moderator for AOL's sports message boards, and nothing irked me more then a member, or a fellow moderator that got on someone hard about either posting in the wrong area, which was clearly our job as mods to move them in the correct place, or getting on someone about their spelling. I'd ban members for thirty days after multiple warnings, and report fellow Mods after asking them to back off! We're not in school, and we weren't the board police!
Anyway, just have fun!
