my kids are in college now, so i finally have some free time. until now, i had very little free time

in my free time, i work on restoring my 1967 fairlane, organizing my garage and shop area, playing tennis, and swimming

i am also a big hockey fan, and have been following the stanley cup playoffs

Numerous hobbies, including a collection of snakes and one lizard. I retired 11 years ago from Structural Engineering - which was very stressful. Since that retirement, I've been involved in Product Development - which includes dozens of products sold worldwide. I still enjoy inventing stuff and making 3d solid models on the computer. WE travel a good bit, have 3- grown and married daughters, 12 grandchildren with no 13 on the way. WE have a Boston Terrier that goes almost everywhere with us. Our grandchildren are from ages 19 months to 27 years and we love spending time with them. The snake collection has been my non-stop hobby since 1961, so I am pretty certain it is not a fad for me. Our yard is beautiful and planted with ornamental trees and shrubs. I am somewhat handicapped, so I have a handful of lawn maintenance guys working constantly. I also have a tropical plant collection - which is something I've only been doing for about 15 years. I build and sell several types of Abacus (plural = abaci). I also tutor math, physics, chemistry, etc. I also teach the teachers who work with the gifted students. I consult 16 Atlanta area veterinarians on reptile husbandry and have recently given-up my 15- year voluntary position as a Dangerous Animal Specialist for FBI, GBI, etc. Now, it is not rare for me to take naps in the afternoon after lunch. About 75% of the time that I go to sleep with a "situation on my mind", I wake-up with a perfect answer! This has led me to invent many products. When I have spare time I often do not tell Joy, my wife - or she will put me to work; so please help me keep this secret. I do also still do an occasional structural project, but do not pursue this. Router Forums is also very enjoyable for me, and it has led me to meet many new friends.
