Acquired Hitachi M12V router at auction. The plunge stop wing screw does nut contact the stop rod with sufficient force to lock it. Are there missing parts or is the wing screw too short? Model M12V is apparently older model. Any idea of age?
Thanks,

There is a small brass plug behind the screw. I had mine come loose once, not sure why, but it was still in the housing. It was a bit of a pain in the butt to put back in but it hasn't happened again since. I've attached the parts list for that router. It may be of help.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
