Default Garage Sale Band Saw

Not the deal of the decade or anything but I needed a better band saw and I was very happy to find this one this morning. It's a Porter-Cable PCB330BS 14 inch. The saw, 6 blades, 2 miter gauges, the original tool set and a resaw jig for $220. The only thing "wrong" with it is that I noticed the door on the base is missing. I'll take a ride back out there tomorrow and inquire but if it's no longer around, I can live with that. What a step up from a 3 wheeler!

Looks like a good score. The blades are worth about 1/2 that price. If you haven't watched the Alex Snodgrass video on YouTube for how to get it to track, now would be a good time.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Nice buy. You didn't pay too much.

Thanks guys, I already have used this saw to make some cuts that were impossible on my old toy band saw. Also, as frequently as that set up video was mentioned, I never watched it before because it would be like putting lipstick on a pig. I watched it today and found it very informative as well as entertaining. That guy really whips the wood around doesn't he?...wow.

Good deal Dave! What do you have under the table insert to catch dust? Is it attached by magnets?
