Hello to all the members.
I was wondering of there is an option to keep my IP,how it was before the router.
Now its - 192.168.1.104 but I want to have my original IP and the gateway, is it possible to have the LAN gateway, but not the router LANGway?
I want to do that because now im not able to play LAN games with my neighbour like before or share files with all neighbours in "My network places".
Is there a way to join the "real lan" but not the "router lan" , it'll be enough if I can join the real lan, then I would not care whats my PC IP.
PreThanks.

THIS forum is about Routers (pronounced ROWTER) which is a woodworking tool.
You need to search for a forum that caters for Routers (pronounced ROOTER) which caters for data transmission.
It's one of those words in the English language, designed to catch the unwary, but reading the Forum purpose and rules will usually tell you if you're in the right place.
Regards,
Alan.

Actually Alan, pretty much everyone pronounces them the same way over here on the other side of the pond, or at least in Canada.
Seeing as how they're spelled identically, seems right to not confuse the language further, eh?
Mike; the new banner really could use more contrast, and maybe increase the text size of the 'purpose' statement(?). I went back and looked at it after Kondio commented and I could see why someone might not spend much time studying it before getting down to his (never seems to be women that make this error) question.

How about putting a picture of a router or two in the banner as well?
