Smile Traveling to Scotland

Well the time is almost here, my wife and I will be leaveing hot and muggy USA for cool Scotland on Monday the 15th... She has planned this whole trip out, I am kinda going along for the ride! She used to live in Scotland, though she is US born and raised, and has always wanted to go back, bring me, and show off the landsacpe and introduce her old friends. So off we go.

If I get any REALLY great pictures, I will post a few, forgive me please ahead of time if I don't feel they are post worthy when we get back.

Jack

Have a good time Jack.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Have a great time, Jack.

I hope the people you meet are up to the standard of those I met on overseas trips.........

Have a great time, one thing to take with you, or get when you arrive and before you get up into the gorse filled areas is something to repel the midges, they are man eaters and can spoil the moment, to say the least.

Thank you all for your well wishes. Paul, thanks for the heads up, we'll keep that under advisement. We absolutely hope to be out and about and as for Nessie, we'll be up ther looking for her, any disturbance in the water and I'll have a photo of it, proof positive that she exists!

Our favorite place to 'holiday'. As a matter of fact, our youngest, husband and kids are there as I type. He is Scottish and from a town near Edinburgh. I hope you will be doing some sightseeing and wandering ouside of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Loch Ness of course and Urquhart Castle just a short way from the well done Nessie exhibit plus maybe Oban/Ft William and maybe even to the Isle of Skye. Then if you have lots of time, way North and maybe even the Orkney Islands. Take lots of pictures You might even see some Highland cows like this one we had walk up to the car on Mull:
