Default Jerry's Back...

Several weeks ago my computer just would not let me get into web site for the forum, and I was constantly getting pop ups. I have been planning on taking the the computer to a repair shop but for now anyway, all is working fine, Dick Willis is going to help me make some back up disks which he tells me I should have done in the first place.

Anyway, it sure is good to get back and watch the forum again. I'm O.K. and hoping for cooler weather of course.

Welcome back! Nothing more frustrating than a computer problem. I saw a sign in an office- To err is Human; To really screw it up, you need a computer.

The sign should have said, 'you need a computer programmer'.

When I started this thread I thought that the problem was solved but it wasn't and so I took it to the repair shop yesterday and just got it back today. i just think o I faund that when e type slow and deliberately that I can't tyiv on the computer. It has taken me thiraa minutes to type these three and a half lines. Lost everythiwice and had to start over again, the cursor keeps jumping away from where I am typing. So, it is still a mess. I had the drive completely wiped and the OS reinstalled. But I can't type on the computer so you may not hear from me until and/or if I can this problem resolved.

Jerry, Could be hardware. I'd try a new keyboard!

PS I am assuming you have a desktop PC! not so easy with a laptop.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Duane, it's a laptop, but I'm practicing trying to learn to keep my fingers only the hthtkey that I want to strike, might have to revert to the hunt and peck approach, sure is frustrating, but I'm doing better. Jerry
