Can someone explain or direct me to the correct thread... Sometimes when a person posts multiple pics I can open and view one, then return to the post, select the next pic, open to view and so on. Other times after opening the first pic there is a arrow that takes to me to each succeding picture. So what's the deal? As the viewer am I doing something wrong or is the poster doing something?

Thanks!

May the grain be ever in your favor.

Hi Berry,

If you do not log in then you will open a new window or tab with the picture you clicked on and will have to go back to the original page or post to click on another picture for viewing.

If you log in before you start and click on a picture you will get a pop up window and be able to click on an arrow to scroll through all the pictures for that post.

It also makes a difference if the pic's were embedded in the post or added as attachments. The latter works better!

Duane's explanation seems more plausible to me--I have the same experience as the OP and I am always logged in when I visit. (I know 'cuz I link through RoboForms that takes care of it.)

Earl,

As Duane points out it makes a difference if the pictures were embedded in the post or added as attachments but it also makes a difference if you are logged into Router Forums or not.

I also use a password manager like the RoboForm password manager.

When I click on a link in a email and my browser has not been opened, the post will open the browser but it does not log me into the Router Forums because I am not logged into the password manager and the picture links act as Berry described.

If my browser is already open and I have logged into the password manager then it logs me into Router Forums and the picture links act as I described in my original post.
