Default Google Chrome

Long story short. I finally switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and what a big fast pleasant change. Internet Explorer wasn't showing web sites correctly and was super slow. With Google Chrome its like I have a new computer.

I switched to Mozilla Firefox years ago, Way faster than Microsoft Internet Explorer. And not near the hacker attacks. Haven't tried Chrome.

Same here, Ron.

Although, a number of people seem to be satisfied with Chrome.

I have several browsers I use for web development. The main one I have used for many years is Firefox. Sites do look different in different browsers and that is why it is necessary to have the other browsers to check your work that it looks OK on all browsers. Usually had to hack to make IE work right. They chose to not follow the web standards so you make a site follow the web standards W3C then find a way to make it work correctly on IE. The hacks for IE are easy as everyone has to do it, therefore the info needed is all over the web.

Sometimes I am forced to use IE on some sites that did not set up properly and on some computers that only have IE. Drives me nuts. I currently have IE 10 on my computer. It has improved some but why bother going back to it? I do have Chrome and use it as a second browser for working on sites that require login. I login with one and not the other so I can check back and forth without the site picking up a cookie thinking I am already loged in. Chrome is OK but I still prefer Firefox. Chrome does present websites following the standards. I have been using Firefox almost as long as it has been around.

Usually the only people that do not use Firefox or Chrome are the ones that have not tried it. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are all free. Might be worth checking out what you have been missing if you are an IE user.

I use Firefox. I had Chrome in the past but found that it is impossible to download YouTube videos from the Chrome browser. No problem downloading videos with Firefox (just download the appropriate add-on) and it is fast enough for me.

Mozilla Firefox. OpenOffice. Mozilla Thunderbird. See the theme here? All free... and they're not Microsoft!

Google's getting a wee bit too powerful and invasive.

Do you also check various resolutions and monitors/screens?
I've seen in the past some web sites that were obviously developed on a massive display.

I haven't tried Firefox but will keep it in mind if I run in to any major problems.

Chrome is a bare bones browser with no add ons and that is why it loads fast.
