Default Sometimes we forget who to thank

I just received this email from a friend. It's comments are so very accurate. It's a little late in the day but I would like to say Thank You to those who have enabled me to be here doing what I do.

It is the VETERAN , not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN , not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN , not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN , not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN , not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN , not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN ,
who salutes the Flag,

It is the VETERAN ,
who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO THEM, O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Charlie's, it's never too late to thank a veteran!

Looking forward to your participation.
Filling out your profile to include (first name, tools and short bio is strictly (optional )but does help members to better relate to each other.
Thank You John

Where would the Veteran be,
without the prayer of those at home?
Where would the Veteran be,
without the farmers who grow their food?
Where would the Veteran be,
without those who make their uniforms?
Where would the Veteran be,
without those who make their weapons?
What would the Veteran salute,
without a flag maker?
Where would the Veteran be,
without the taxpayer to pay their wage?

Thank you Veterans, for your service!

Thank you to ALL, who support the Soldiers while they serve!

Most important. Thanks to almighty God, who shines His light on all of us!

Freedom requires each of us to do our part!

If you want to ban me for this, feel free. But remember where that freedom came from!

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

So true Charles and Duane. It takes everyone working together to keep our freedoms.
The one difference is that many veterans had to make some horrendous sacrifices in carrying out their commitments, while others had to make the ultimate sacrifice.
