Sorry I have not been around much, but as some of you know I've been battling a little cancer. For weeks I did not feel up to anything. I had to depend on my wife to keep family up to date on FB, cause I didn't even have the energy for the computer. Slept most of the time, after chemo.
I was scheduled for three series of chemo's. Each series taking 3 weeks. But after ending up in the hospital for each series, for four days, my docs decided to hold off and see if the chemo was doing me any good, with all the setbacks. My test came back that the tumor had shrunk considerable, and my cancer markers went from 156 (normal male cancer marker is between 0-8.5. My latest test was 8.9 So this proved that the chemo was working, and almost had did it's job. So they decided to put me through the final series, at a lower dosage. I am now finished the first week, and have a single treatment, on the following next Tuesdays. So far so good. Matter of fact, unlike my first two series, I've been able to stay up and active in my wood shop, and kept up a decent appetite.
Anyway, I thank you all for the thoughts and prayers and messages I've gotten from the woodworking community. And hope to be posting more as I go. While I have been feeling better this week, I've completed my second only freehand sign, that I plan on giving to my two Infusion nurses. They are tops in my book. I can tell by how they have treated me and other patients, they are in it for more then the money, they seem to really care about their patients.
