Set of four Jet clamps for 50% off (should have went for more, but oh well). $70 refund on my new planer.

That's about it. Now I need to save up for a Woodpecker lift and an Incra system.

No Black Friday sales in Japan either!!

My Black Friday was hauling my last load of cherry wood home. 1.55 cubic meters of usable wood, conservatively that’s over 500 board feet. All the pieces had crotches. The trunk was a good 3 feet thick and 9 foot long. The trunk is all sawn 5/4. The saw mill operator and I spent 4 hours cutting up the logs. We cut up seven logs and I still have four more in my parking.

2 cherry trees blew over a couple of months (Aug) ago into a public park near our house. The trees were on school property. The school hooked me up with the crew who cut up the trees. They gladly gave me the heavy parts, even cut it up to my specifications. And get this, loaded it onto the truck for me. . . free.

I painted all the cuts within 3 hours to stop the checking (splits from uneven drying). I left one log unpainted to compare. A week later a there is significant visible difference. Little or no checking on the painted logs; considerable checking on the unpainted ends.

I wear a size 13 shoe, that was the only object I could think of using to show the relative size of the trunk.

The Black Friday problem…. What do I make with all that wood? 2 roll top desks are in the plans. Any other suggestions?

Only bought one thing. A Dewalt 735 with tables and extra set of blades for $437 w/ free shipping. After the sale, Amazon emailed that I was eligible for another $25 discount.

Coach Purse Normally $378 Black Friday Price: $80 (after the 50% off sale
price and the addt'l 50% off coupon they gave out at the door.)

(You said best deal, You didn't specify it had to be wood related... lol hopefully
I'll get a good deal at Performance Tools Open House next weekend!)

This years' Black Friday Ads were a huge let down. I was SO disappointed.

LOL Dan!!!

Actually, my Black Friday was extremely disappointing. The ads were the pits, and I didn't really get anything. The purse is for me; it will be from my daughter, who buys only Coach purses, because they're warrantied for life. If it rips, or something breaks on it, they replace it, or fix it for free. She had to see if I would like it before she got it, because I'm very particular on my purses, as she is on a lot of things, so I won't buy certain things without her seeing them first.

Tonight we bought an ottoman for her (in pink) that holds shoes; right up her alley, and the price was $100 off.
