Default Info on Dick Willis

I may have missed it but I don't recall seeing a thread on Dick Wilson's recent surgery. Dick has has had some serious issues with the circulation in one of his legs. You would never hear it from him on this forum. Anyway, his son Tom has kept me up to date on the matter. The surgery went well, some of, maybe two arteries , were completely clogged as I understand and I think that Tom said that there were several infections. He is, to my knowledge, still in the hospital and I doubt if he has any access to the forum right now, February 2nd, I will let everybody know when he is home and how he is doing when I hear from him or his son. He should be logging on to the forum soon after getting home. Anyway, I thought that I should get this thread on the forum, if it has already been mentioned, well it won't hurt to mention it again.

Dick has become a great friend to me and has been very helpful to me in my learning. curve. He is very experienced in a broad array of subjects, very willing to be of help at any time. I'll give you an example of one important tip that he gave me. I am sure that most of the members already know about this, but due to the environment that my shop is in, I have lots of dirt and grim to deal with which played, past tense, havoc with my cast iron tables. No longer is it an issue , after Dick suggested that I use Johnson's Was on them. It solved everything and my tables can now be easily wiped off with a cloth and looking sanitary. That is only one little thing but it was a big deal for me. Dick visited me one time and brought gifts of some tools that he had made for me, that's just the kind of guy that he is.

I am of the opinion that Dick is going to have a much better quality of life after he gets over this recent issue with his leg, I sure hope so anyway.

Jerry

Dick is a great guy. We met when he was the in-between keeping me up to date with Jerry... when Jerry was having 'puter problems....

Me thoughts and wishes are with Dick. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Wow, I missed your post, Jerry.

Thank you for keeping the forum family up to date.

It is great to see members in contact with other members, sharing and helping each other.

This, to me, is what makes the forum what it is....

Just got an e-mail from Dick, he is homw and apparently doing well and is expecting to have better quality of life. Sounds good from what he wrote.
