Wonderful memories, Harry.

I was probably there that day....

At the time, the Ford Falcon XY-GTHO was the fastest 4 door sedan in the world.

You guys have the steering wheel on the wrong side ! Those toy engines don't sound as nice as the v8s from the US either !

Takes me back... In my youth I did some low cost racing and most of these cars were represented on those tracks.

I'd rather have a taxi, then charge people for riding with me.

I don't think your big block engines would sound that great either on that old technology audio.

In real life those 351 Clevelands howl just fine.

As James said, in it's day the HO was the fastest production sedan in the world, bar none.

A mate of mine owned one, sold it a couple of years ago ... before I got a drive, dammit !

I could always tell a Ford V8 coming by the sound. (going way back to the 50's and 60's).

I found out many years later, it may have been due to the fact that the Fords had a different timing sequence to Chev and Chrysler....

BTW Dennis, they had US V8 engines in them......
