Default Name change

Guys I like a RainMan1 as I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed to begin with , but I'm almost wondering if I thought of a better one yet , CaptainImpatient

I see it's not taken and there already is a RainMan so I had to take RainMan1.
Any thoughts on CaptainImpatient ?

Not sure the mods will let a name change happen this far in . understandably so

Rick, I'm not sure the name change thing is even possible and still maintain all of your previous posts.

No problem Bill . I'm just bored and mad at myself at the same time . I hAve to measure 3 times and router once
Can't seem to get this threw my head that haste makes waste, so I thought a more appropriate name would be CaptainImpatient or MajorImpatient lol.

Changing my name would probably cause confusion, and everyone knows that I'm an idiot savant minus the savant part

During the time I have been a member of RouterForums I know of one person who changed their screen name.
I originally joined under one name 6 months earlier but lost my password and had to start over with my current name. I seem to recall some mechanism to transfer the post count from my original name to my current name.

That can be done, Tom.

I have asked Admin to transfer posts from one account to another in the same circumstances as yours.. I do not know if you can just change an account name?

Rick, you can always put an AKA in your signature! that way you can even change it from time to time.

I've come to like my sig... too much truth in it!

From doing a search, it looks like the forum admin can change a name from the user control panel, but it is not a function given out to users. Rick, I am there with you as I have been wanting to change my username for a few years now. (I was in a different phase of life when I first registered for this site) I had thought about creating a new account but have resisted as I did want to loose the history associated to my current username.
