Default Any Grand Rapids,MI members?

Anyone in the Grand Rapids,MI area want some company on 8/21? Taking SWMBO there for a quilt show, which has no interest for me, so looking for some way to fill the day.

I'm too far away to be of any help to you Brian but I want you know that I'm hoping someone comes forward to help you out. If that doesn't happen how about the spending the day going around to tool stores in the area? Come to think of it, you could sit outside one of the tool stores with a sign that says " My wife drug me to a quilting show. If you're a woodworker please take me home with you". If you have a pitiful enough look on your face someone is bound to help you out.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Sorry, Auburn Hills, here, Brian. I was trying to think of what there is to do up there, and I'm drawing a blank. I can't even suggest the Outlet Malls at Birch Run, because even that's a ways away from there.

Charles, that was good. I showed SWMBO and she said it wouldn't work tho... I would look too pitiful and they would be afraid they couldn't get rid of me.

Thanks Barb, but a professional shopper I'm not. Will figure something out.

Brian I don't think your wife appreciates how much fear the words "My wife drug me to a quilting show" can induce into the male species. I don't think you can look too pitiful in this circumstance.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.
