Default Postage help

Are there any members in teh Minisota area that could find out what is the lowest cost to send a tool to the UK please from Grand Rapids area. Weight about 1kg and size about 12cm x 10cm x 6cm

I have been quoted over $76, which seems very expensive to me, but hope someone can come up with something else

Many thanks

This will save you a bit of time looking. This is probably the cheapest but will take longer. USA to Canada can take from 3-6 weeks. UK probably wouldn't be much different, maybe a few days to a week? International Price Calculator I went back and tried the link and it didn't take me to where you should go. Go down the shipping list and click on First Class Mailing Options and then fill in the weight and continue.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Send a message via Skype™ to rwbaker

Use the USPS International Priority, declare it as a gift to get around the UK VAT taxes

Did this all the time with my UK distributors before I retired (samples, not for resale)

And you are right international shipping is very expensive. Use the USPS web site to calculate the cost.

Hope this helps - Baker

Thanks for the replies guys,

The figure I had from the manufacturer was $79, which doubles the price and there may still be tax to pay on that. I have decided to shelve the idea for now, as it is a modification I can live without. Perhaps later on.
