Question Calling all iPad users....

From posts seen on the forum,it would appear that many members use their smart phone or tablet for browsing the forum.

I have just bought an Apple iPad Air to use for next years US trip.

Are there any tips or tricks I can use?

James my daughter tells me that if you have an iPhone don't use the iPads charger to charge phone.

I wasn't aware of that . I have two Ipad airs ,one Ipad mini and an iPhone and have no idea which charger I'm using at this point .

James I can't suggest much , but one thing I like is accepting prompts to keep passwords stored . Sure makes it nice after you erase all your cookies etc .

I have my iPad set so you have to enter its four digit password to use it in case it's stolen or someone tries to use it without my consent , especially seeing as all my passwords are backed up. I also have "find my iPad " activated incase it's misplaced .

I don’t always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

Ha Ha, the other day, we overheard our 4 year old grandchild showing her 6 year old cousin the four digit password so she could play the educational games on grandma's ipad mini.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Funny that, Ross.

I have the chargers and cords mixed up already....VBG.

I usually charge the phone and iPad while connected to the PC, however I will not be able to do that if I do not the laptop with me also.

I did notice today that the charger became very hot while charging the iPad and I switched chargers. The second one also became very warm in a short time.

How does one tell which is which?

Unhappy log in error on Lastpass...

Just tried that one. For some reason I cannot log in as I get an"Unknown email address." error.

May need a US email address to use???

Thanks for the warning, Ross.

I had a closer look and the iPhone charger is 5W, the iPad is 10W.

That depends on which model you have of each. Apple keep changing connectors so that older gear is not compatible with the new. Marketing ploy I reckon.....
