Default Who remembers Dick Tracy's "watch of the future"?

Today my grandson showed me his latest high tech. device, a Motorola/Android watch. In standby the screen is dark but a flick of the wrist produces an analogue watch display which can be scrolled down like a smart phone, I pad etc. Select Google and speak into for your search, it's mind boggling in spite of my 50 years in electronics. It is amazing how far we've progressed. I can hardly imagine what another decade in the future will hold .

"Electronic surgical implants maybe ? "
I'm trying to envision how they'd be better than the saline/silicone ones...

Maybe they could be dialed up or down depending on the woman's mood. Maybe her man could check on them remotely to see how they're doing. Lots of possibilities.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Dick Tracy was one of the heroes of his time. Does anyone recall his caricature in Fearless Fosdick? Technology knows no limits but does mankind know its limits?

I can remember my Dad who is 80 saying when he was a kid all the superheroes were flying to the moon. Imagine what the kids of today will be seeing in eighty years. The mind boggles.

So, Dick Tracy must have been true...
