Every December the publishers of Popular Woodworking (U.S. and Canada) hold a free 31 day sweepstakes, giving away one woodworking tool each day.

The prize for Thursday, December 4th, is a General Excalibur #40-200 deluxe cast-iron router table kit. The kit includes their Excalibur 40-125 router lift with 9 1/4″ x 11 3/4″ aluminum insert plate, 16″ x 27″ full cast-iron table top, deluxe fence system, steel stand with built-in switch, and a steel dust containment box with dust port and large access door.

Retail Price: $1199.99

It is! I have entered most of them for several years... haven't won a thing! Keeps me doing something, I guess.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

Duane I've never won squat in my life so I wonder why I bother , but the way I see it your odds are worse when you don't buy a lotto ticket lol

Plus, the odds of winning a lottery are often in the millions to one whereas these sweepstakes likely have odds of 100,000:1 or even much less! One hundred to one thousand times more likely to win!
