Default Too Much Info...

...being asked for!

Mozilla Firefox has a fund-raising thing going on right now. They're asking Users to donate a couple of bucks each. I'm in! We use it exclusively. HOWEVER, when you go to make the online donation, they ask you for a whole lot of info they don't need to know! I backed outta there like a scalded cat; sorry Mozilla, your loss.

Thanks, Angie. I had noticed the PayPal option byt went with the direct CC deduction, obviously a big mistake. I was kind of annoyed and didn't go back...in fact, I cleared everything in my cache....just in case. (Mind you, they hadn't asked for cache... )

Totally agree, Dan.

I went on a site the other day to register a purchase (cannot remember what it was now).

They wanted home phone , email , street address. I thought that they don't need all that so went into registering under Facebook ID, they wanted access to all my posts, pictures, friends etc.

I did not register, as we are covered by lawful warranty in this country..

Makes one wonder why they need all that info?

They don't need it - they use it for marketing. Not many people think about it, but if no-one pays anything to join up to Facebook, where does the money come from that makes Mark Zuckerberg so rich?

Providing Web and IT services through my own business (Darbeth) by day, and by night , saving my customer's sanity.

hmmmmm...
I have never seen that page and I've used FireFox for years...

right click and click on inspect element or go to the header and find the source.....
copy and paste the url into another browser and see where it takes you....
I can't get that page even through FF...
