Default Fogelberg Passes On....

I know this isn't on woodworking and not what you usually see from me but but it's in the lobby so I think it is ok. I woke up this morning with an old Dan Fogelberg tune in my head (listened to it yesterday in the shop on my Ipod) and I just happened to check his website which I do often and found that he had passed on this morning. He has been battling advanced prostrate cancer since 2003. That next record will never come I guess.

I have been a fan of Dan's since his first release in 1972 and have had all of his releases and he was my most favorite singer songwriter since the day I first heard him. His music was played at my wedding ceremony and his writings have always meant a lot to me. His guitar styling I tried to copy but it can't be done.

Surprising that the entertainment news online would rather talk about goofy people like K-Fed and Brittany Spears but such is life.

Rest in peace Dan from a lifetime fan.

Corey

Corey, sorry to hear your favorite singer/songwriter has passed. He did have some great songs. He is gone but his music goes on.

Yup Dave, he left a lot of great music behind. If anyone only heard the songs they played on the radio they missed the best stuff, that is for sure. One of the good guys. He loved the Colorado Rocky mountains and I am sure there is an eagle flying in the aspens tonight!
