Medicare covers the vaccine here if you're 65 (?) or older. Otherwise it's about $300 at the doc's office and $200 at a pharmacy. I got it. Can't hurt and from what I've seen - shingles ain't no fun!

Got mine a few years ago. I'm 76 and was told I can't get another one.

We had a bit of conversation here at the Forum a couple of days ago, about shingles vaccine.
I popped in to see my Pharmacist this morning; had an interesting discussion about it.
Yes, he'll do the vaccination...no, it's not covered, in BC. $210 all in, if I decide to get it.
The point that he made was that he hasn't seen any rock solid evidence as to its efficacy.
On the plus side, he's had the vaccination himself (he's over 65).

I jokingly told him "That was two high quality 10" Carbide blades!"
I think I have to wait six months before having it. But if can keep me from enduring this again, I'm for it. It doesn't get better, it doesn't get worse, just goes on and on and on and....

The infinity blade for the Triton Track Saw arrived this afternoon. What a beauty. Looking forward to giving it a try. I was concerned about the track being short, but it looks like the saw starts cutting a couple of inches back from the end of the track so it might work fine without the extension. Also turns out there's a rip blade for it. Found a short video on uses of the track saw and they ripped a straight edge on a piece of rough sawn lumber. I think I'm going to enjoy this saw.

I have a 35mm hose, but don't know the size of the Triton dust port, guess I'll have to try it to see if it fits.

@thomas1389
It never pays to argue with a fool as the innocent bystanders can never determine which one is the fool.

@RainMan 2.0 My daughter is living with a guy who is so politically off the scale that has barely spoken to my wife and I since the election. Bizarre, and it is really stressing her out since she has quite different political views. He feels little compunction about lecturing her, but she keeps a lid on her views for the sake of peace. I just couldn't handle that, heck, I'm stressed out about retiring and that probably helped trigger my current condition. What are we doing up so danged late? We should get some sleep.
