That is a very interesting proposition Gene.

It's harder to get both in the same package

But it's really nice when you find that combination in one person.

Who is likely to be a better cook, guy or woman? I'm a pretty good cook, but that's not always true.

Both our sons love to cook. Must have got that from their mom. Certainly not from dear old dad. Dear old dad can barely boil water. KP is my area.

My mom taught all four of us boys how to cook, not necessarily well, but a good start. For my first wedding, she gave me a box with apron strings in them. You're on your own now kid.

Mom was a great cook. She passed her skills on to my sisters. Dad and I were banned from the kitchen. That is except for frying mountain oysters.

My sisters were married and gone before I was in Kindergarten. My mom used to keep things on hand we could cook because all four boys were out and about much of the time, rarely at home for a meal at the same time. The oldest was always out chasing girls, two of us were involved in theater and the fourth was often off fishing. I spent a lot of years as a single guy and learned to cook the good stuff then.

Hash browns, eggs and spam together in a frying pan is my upper limit.
