@RainMan 2.0 Hope you're busy assembling and learning CNC. I think that's your best bet for the future. Being sick of working for others is a common thing among the self employed. Keep this feeling in mind when you want to goof off instead of developing your business. You cannot make up that lost time and energy. A few steps EVERY day. Intense effort now shortens the startup grind. Don't know about Canadian taxes, but here you write off lots of expenses for business. All that gear you bought is deducible if you are in business. In U.S., you don't have to make a profit for several years (eg. Amazon).

Anyone have anything to say? The people who put in our rock scape finally showed up yesterday and promised to finish cleanup and getting water to the trees and plants. There's Schedule 80 pipe to everything already, so it's a matter of getting under the underlayment.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

Glad you got them to at least partially finish their job.

Turned out the wife had emergency surgery. Said their two near adult kids would do most of the deed. I don't want to do a dump run, they can do that.

Default You never know when

Well that was a summer to put some where. It started end of June, at the lake, hail the size of tennis balls. The car, the roof all beat up. Then end of July our house two hour away hail again. All those years of premiums for insurance. No word from them yet. Well brought home a maple tree for the saw mill.

What a great load of Maple. I see projects in your future. We has a couple of episodes of hail early Spring this year, nothing like the storms you guys get. Fortunately our vehicle lives in the garage.

For a while, I was an insurance adjuster in Illinois. After one big hail storm, I had to total out a fairly new Ford Galaxy 500. There wasnt one piece of metal or glass that wasn't severely damaged. That storm ruined many acres of wheat, too.

While we’re on the subject of Ford, my stepbrother had a real rare one . He drove to Red Deer to pick up a factory 71 Mach1 that came with a 351 Boss , 4 speed stick ,and 3.91 rear gears . The 71 Boss mustang only came with that configuration that year , and unfortunately he sold it and the new owners rolled it in town destroying it.
Love to have that bad boy today

Everyone has a favorite. Mine has always had a blue oval stuck on it somewhere.
