I'll have a car so can travel a bit, and we have some options. I also have some family north of Seattle, but not sure about visiting then since most work days. I'd like to meet some of y'all--Lunch, visit, coffee. I think they'll let me into Canada, so that's another possibility.
Iím in Cranbrook bc ,so quite a ways east from Seattle unfortunately

Well, maybe I should post a separate thread about a gathering in the North West.

The more I do, the less I accomplish.

@DesertRatTom

At the moment my calendar is open for those dates in February and it would be great to gather for a coffee/lunch at your convenience.
Traveling an hour or more north would not be an issue either if that works better for your schedule. That might get us closer to Herb as well.

Cheers
Jon

What does Vegemite taste like?
>Vegemite is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacturing, and various vegetable and spice additives. The taste may be described as salty, slightly bitter, and malty - somewhat similar to the taste of beef bouillon. The texture is smooth and sticky, much like peanut butter.

Chewing so slowly, I stopped eating for hunger much sooner. My daughter eats french fries 3-4 at a time. I eat half of one at a time (depending on size of course) and never finish the whole serving anymore. Fish and chips, I strip off most of the breading, leaving just enough to add that great flavor, but don't take in as much fat. I like an occasional treat, like some small cookies, but I no longer wolf them down, just bite a small portion and savor it. Getting the max flavor but fewer cookies overall.

Not drinking near as much booze these days either, and I think that helps. Not a beer drinker, so that source of calories is reduced. However, at a lower weight, the alcohol seems to have more effect, so I don't have to drink much to relax, which is what I do want. Don't like feeling heavily buzzed anymore, so less is better.

I've tried diets in the past, but in the end, if you drink two diet meal replacements, you'd probably be better off drinking a full size milkshake instead. Don't like preaching about weight loss. I spent most of my adult life in the obese cateory, and it took the possibility of checking out early to get me to go through the eating changes I have. I died once and was revived. Don't want to speed up a recurrence.
I think you and I are on the same page here, Tom..

I want one of those houses, no more lawn to mow, and fishing out the bedroom window.
