Agreed, I love Hummers, but they are mean little suckers! They will attack each other in an attempt to drive away the competition. Still love to watch them.

We get a lot of them because we planted a lot of stuff they like to eat. West Coast, we get Anna's humming birds. We used to have a feeder, but it is not as nutricious as flower pollen. We have a large number of Desert Willows that have a ton of flowers hummers like from late May to October. We like having the critters enjoying our yard, its a safe place with plenty of food. We buy 50lb bags of shelled sunflower seeds so our bird visitors stay fat and well fed all winter. We always have a variety of bees and other polintors that like our native species plantings.
