Default Anyone from Kentucky?

Planning on a trip in April to Paducah,KY. Big quilt show there so have to get SWMBO a fix for her quilting addiction.

Current route is from Detroit to Louisville,KY or Elizabethtown,KY for the first leg, then on to Murray,KY for the next couple of days, Then one o/n stop on the way home from Paducah.

Looking for any attractions or "must see's" that you might be familiar with along that route.

I make a mean cup of coffee, if that's any help. Seriously, if you happen to be coming through Louisville on April 23, The Thunder Over Louisville airshow and fireworks show happen that day/night. The air show is always good, and the Fireworks show is supposedly the biggest in the world. Non-stop big stuff for about 30 minutes. I used to go to it every year until I started having trouble walking. TV just doesn't measure up after having been there. More info:

It seems I never finish what I

If going near Berea, KY, there's a thriving arts & crafts community there.

Corvette museum in E'town, KY. You can get plant tours also. Order one now, pick it up, drive it home! Belle of Louisville river boat in Louisville.

I highly recommend Barea, KY / College. Otherwise, you just can't go wrong anywhere in KY. I love the state. I'd love living there.

Hmmm.... not sure what's more tempting, the coffee or the air show.

Might have to change things around a bit to hit the air show. Always like them.

Thanks for the tips on Barea and also the Corvette museum. Not sure if they can be worked in timewise, but will see.
