Default Power Ball close call

To bad close only counts in hand grenades and horse shoes .I had a co workers friend buy us PowerBall tickets last Tuesday for that billion dollar draw , and I haven't bothered looking at my ticket as I heard the winners were in the US .
I just went to check my ticket ,and on the third lime I dang near nailed it , but I guess you don't get much without that last number . Anyways I just found out I can't claim the second prize as tickets can not be taken to Canada and then back across the line into the US again according to the news . So all the Canadians did was pretty much make a donation .
We should have gotten John to put them in a safety deposit box I guess , but I never heard this till it made global news . I guess the border gaurds were telling Canucks at the border that they can't take the tickets back across the lines, so it made the news .

Guys south of the border , do you want me to mail it to you and split the winnings. Worse that happen is a few years in jail lol

I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

I don't know much about the powerball Rick but I just looked up what the odds and prizes are and I would be talking to a lawyer to see if there's a way to cash it if what I read is accurate. In that same newscast they interviewed someone from Powerball and they said they were going to make every effort to see that the rightful winners got their prizes.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Rick - that's the silliest thing I've ever heard - does your ticket have a chip embedded in it. How are they going to know your ticket crossed the border, unless it's got its own visa.
UlrichJ and Herb Stoops like this.

Some folks call me Vince - other folks call me...........

So, I guess what you're saying is you can't put it in your wallet, go South of the border, get a friend/relative to claim the money, put it in your pocket and head back home...?

Or come up with another way of collecting...?

I got an idea...send it to me, I'll cash it in, come up and insulate your shop and only charge you $1,000,000 to do it...

I'm thinking about buying a drone and getting the ticket across that way . Theoretically I didn't bring it back across , a drone did

5 numbers, no PB = $1M...

For a mil, I think I'd find a way...
