Great customer service and gratitude
I thought I would share a recent customer service story.
Years ago I purchased a Kreg K3 pocket hole set, not the master set. I saw that I could benefit the use of the vise accessory. By then the upgrade kit was not available. I missed out. Years later, this year I wanted to upgrade with the benchtop vise. I contacted Kreg and discussed my situation with them. I did not want to invest in the complete master set, nor did I want to purchase the K4 for 100 dollars. I just wanted to buy the vise, less the drill block. It was not offered that way. The gentleman listened and we talked. He asked for my mailing address and said that he would see what he could do.
A few days later I received a K4 set. I could not believe this! I called back to thank him. Again I told him that I just wanted to BUY the vise/clamp only. I was not asking to be given anything.
What he said next shocked me. He thanked me for calling back and thanking him. He stated that they help customers in many ways, but rarely receive any thanks. This was sad to hear this. I am not surprised by this in todays world outlook.
All I can say is that Kreg has outstanding customer service. Their products are well engineered and reliable. If anyone or company does something nice for any of us, we should take the time to stop, and thank them for their generosity. Then move on.
