Default A Song That Will Linger…

Some time ago @BrianS asked Forum members for interesting places to stop along the way as he escorted his wife from their home in Windsor, Ontario to a crafts fair in Paducah KY. @chessnut2 generously invited them to join him in Louisville Ky, and late in the thread, when I finally saw it, suggested a detour to and around a town I know well just a few miles West of Louisville KY. I also suggested he try the Stephen Foster Story in Bardstown KY. Unfortunately that pageant is not yet running, but my response planted an earworm that still infects me. Here is the the Johnny Cash version. I chose Johnny Cash because he includes all the lyric and because with his voice all the lyrics are clear.

Thanks for the song, Tom. I always enjoy Johnny Cash. Was able to see him, in person a few times and was always treated to an outstanding performance.

Tom.....you're right about it being an earworn. I had never heard Johnny Cash's version, but it's a song that pops into my head every so often without provocation. Thanks.

It seems I never finish what I
