    My Shop
My workshop is split between a corner of the garage and one end of the back deck. I couldn't fit the table saw in the garage, so it went on the back deck. Now I am working in two locations depending on what I am doing, but at least I have plenty of room around the table saw for larger work - we have 3100mm (12ft) ceilings upstairs.
  • Woodworker Information
    A few details about myself.
    Biography
I am an IT consultant running my own business - Darbeth - providing Web and IT services, and have has been around long enough to have solved computer problems in the days of punch cards and printouts instead of keyboards and screens.

Away from work I divide my time between my family, music, and woodworking. We own a 100 year old house which means there is always something which needs attention, and on many occasions I have fabricated pieces to match existing work in the house. I was brought up on hand tools, and it is only relatively recently that my power tools have expanded beyond drills and sanders. I have also spent some time working in a cabinet-making factory - the GFC dried up my usual sources of income rather severely...
