- My Shop
- My new home here in Plymouth, MA has a walk-out basement. The shop space is an "L" shape totaling about 750 sq. ft. Both the CNC and laser are in a separate room. Anoth small room (large closet) houses the compressor and dust collector. The compressor is plumbed to pull in outside air.
I designed and built a motorized router lift device that cost a fraction of the $ of commercial units.
My woodworking interests range from cabinets, furniture to cutting boards.
- Woodworker Information
A few details about myself.
- I am a mechanical engineer by education. I have been working for the same company for 32 years, the last 23 have been in product development.
My wife and I are originally from the south shore of Massachusetts. I was transferred to Chicago in 1993. We returned to MA last year.
I have been a "woodworker" for all of my adult life and I look forward to the day when I retire so I can devote ALL of my time to woodworking!
- Plymouth, MA
- I consider woodworking my #1 hobby.
My tastes and interests in woodworking are varied. I seem to go through cycles where I will focus on cabinets for a while, then reproduction furniture and then creating unique jigs, fixtures and modifications to existing tools or equipment. I also enjoy rebuilding old woodworking machines. In addition to many power tools I also own a Probotix Comet CNC router and a 60 watt laser.
