  About Me

  • My Shop
Some detailed information about my workshop.
    Power Tools
In my home shop I have a Grizzly 6' jointer, Grizzly 690 tablesaw with a Wixey dro, a Grizzly 513X2F 17" bandsaw, a 3hp shaper, Craftsman 15 inch drill press, Makita slide compound saw, a Rigid oscillating spindle/belt sander mounted to a flip top tool stand with a Ryobi 12 5/16" portable planer, a Delta 12" disc sander, HF 1" x 30" belt sander, 7 routers, including the Triton TRA001 in a router table, a scroll saw, and various other portable tools including a Makita 7 1/4" circular saw, Bosch jigsaw, Makita and Dewalt cordless drivers and drills. Working on modifying a HF 2hp dust collector with a Wynn filter and Super Dust Deputy.

In my basement shop I have a Delta 46-460 12 1/2" midi lathe, a Delta 1200cfm dust collector and a Craftsman 14" bandsaw.
    My Shop
At my place of work, a large 60 x 100 building, we have a Cemco wide belt sander, a Holzer panel saw, Powermatic 66 and Delta Unisaw, Bridgewood 24" planer, 12" jointer, 7 hp and 3 hp shapers, 24" grizzly bandsaw, 14" Rikon 10-326 bandsaw, Seco mortiser, various Bosch and Dewalt slide compound saws, A router table with a Porter Cable 7518 installed, various other portable tools including several 690 routers.

My little shop is quite different. At 16' x 24' plus attached shed, space is always an issue ... Not helped by all the cutoffs I bring home from work. :)
  • Woodworker Information
    A few details about myself.
I work in the high end cabinet shop of a custom home builder on the coast of Maine.
I started working in my dad's construction business at the age of 12. He encouraged me to use tools from a very young age. Some examples of my work can be seen on the following web sites.
    Searsport, Maine
My hobbies include turning pens and making bandsaw boxes, computers and photography.
    Favorite Router
I have a few old craftsman routers, a Bosch Colt, A Milwaukee 5616-24 and just changed over from a Makita circa 1980 plunge router in my table to a Triton TRA001.
At work, we use several Porter Cable routers, among others.
I really like the Milwaukee for handheld work but for all those little jobs I find I reach for the Bosch Colt. Just recently added a used Boasch 1613evs to my collection.
