Default Hello Everyone

I'm here because there are a few projects I've been meaning to get to. I bought a Dewalt DWP611 a few years ago to work on my bee hives. I was injured by my bull so no longer have bees.

What else? My user name... Crossvine, its a vine that grows wild in the southeast. It in a class of medicinal plants called adaptogens, also a medicine I take daily. I also teach classes on wild medicinal plants here at my farm.

Anyway, I look forward to learning a few things! Thanks in advance!

Welcome. The 611 is a good starter router. I use one on my CNC table and it does a great job.

Thank both of you...

I make a tincture for my arthritis as well as for friends. I make it from a toxic plant, poke sallet (Phytolacca americana). Its a excellent anti-inflammatory as well as an antiviral. Some people can't take poke though. I can only take it for a few months then have to stop for a few weeks before I start again. There youtube videos of people making it.

Welcome to the forum! I'll second Rick - a first name is always good so we know who we're talking to. When you get to those projects be sure to post some photos.

When I was about 12, I was in the pasture with my Dad and Grandfather... and the bull. The bull charged my Grandfather and knocked him into the pickup bed, banged up his hip as I recall. My Dad and I were closer to the fence and not in real danger but I made it the 20' to the fence and over it before my Dad turned to 'assist' me. I'm not sure if my Grandfather had anything done to his hip but I remember him limping for a while. Bulls are large and powerful, especially to a 12-year old.

This is the nasty fellow who put me in the hospital. Charolais are know for being gentle. I’ve had several. One big boy would come when called at night in the pasture. He’d put his giant head against my chest. He loved having his ears scratched! He weighed 2374lbs the day I sold him.

This bull became mentally unstable over the course of a year. I was trying to get him into a corral the day he hurt me. I was going to sell him for hamburger. My cousin had to come over with his tranquilizer gun. Even when partially tranquilized it took 6 men and a tractor to get him in a trailer…

For some reason I couldn't get the photo to attach... I need to figure that out.
